About

Hands, mind, spirit. Same guy.

I'm Jake Jackson. I live in the Northwood historic district of West Palm Beach. By day I run a handyman business. At night I spin fire. In between I pour tea for rooms full of strangers and talk about how all of that is one thing.

Hello! I am Jake, often called Jake The Jedi by friends and those who know me locally in South Florida.

Jake Jackson

Where this comes from

After over a decade of knowledge acquisition in the areas of Happiness, Health, Success, Spirituality, Culture, Intimacy, and Human Connection, I found myself dedicated to sharing that Wisdom with others.

I found that tea is the one thing that ties it all together. Ultimately, tea is the teacher. Everything below is the long way of saying that.

The hands came first

I started in the trades the honest way. I was an elevator technician, then I apprenticed from 2020 to 2022 under a working handyman with no tools of my own. By the end I had a van's worth and a business: The Palm Beach Fixer. It's the bread and butter. It keeps the lights on and it keeps me humble, because nobody cares about your philosophy when their ceiling fan is wobbling.

Here's what the trades gave me that nothing else could: the part that can't be undone. Ten careful holes in glazed tile. A cut you only get once. You learn to slow down before the expensive part. That's not a handyman skill. That's the skill.

Then the fire

I'm self-taught on fire staff, LED and saber. Self-taught means I remember exactly what confused me at every stage, which is the whole reason I can teach it. Fire is where I learned the grid — planes, tracks, levels, space — and where I learned that slow reads as more skilled than fast, every time.

Today that's SaberFlameArts, a two-person act. Fire sets, partner acro, aerial. We bring our own props, fuel and suppression, and there's a trained fire-safety attendant on every booking. I'm a certified fire safety advocate and I teach the safety side as its own course, because fueling and perimeter come before your first wrap. Every time.

Then the tea

Tea came in sideways. I taught myself gongfu cha — small pot, small cups, many pours — because I needed something that forced me to stop. It turned into the thing I now do for groups: a guided, seated ceremony where the point isn't the tea. The point is that a room full of people gets quiet together and finds out what's underneath the noise.

I call them wisdom workshops. Nothing mystical. We sit, we pour, we talk about what's real.

I’ve poured it one-on-one, at birthdays and weddings, for the public at Coco Market in Delray Beach, and for hundreds of people at Hullaween Music Festival across workshops, discussions and ceremonial tea segments. Same tray every time.

Then the mic

I studied Communications — Leadership and Personal Development — and I'm nearly through the degree. More to the point, I use it. I've been a keynote speaker and workshop lead, and sat on a panel with other speakers and leaders the same afternoon. I created a workshop called Fundamentals of Flow and I've taught it three times, at Flow Social in Delray Beach, at ZenFlow Retreat, and at FlowFest's FlowSocial, on top of staff and flow courses at other events.

Teaching is where all of it lands. Fire, tea, trades, a room — it's the same job. Get a nervous person to trust their body, one clean rep at a time. That includes companies — several corporate events, including a wellness event hosted by a Range Rover dealership, sometimes tea and mindfulness only, sometimes the whole nine yards with a mic.
