A tea ceremony for flow artists · all welcome · no experience needed
The Slow Set
Every spinner chases the same thing: the moment the thinking stops and the body just knows. Tea gets there without a prop.
What happens
Sit down. Slow down. We share a guided gongfu-style ceremony — small cups, many pours, one intention — and talk about what flow state actually feels like from the inside and how to find it on purpose, on and off the field.
You'll leave grounded, caffeinated, and with a practice you can bring back to your prop the same night.
Bring
- A cushion if you've got one
- Come dusty — this is built for the middle of a festival day
- Nothing else. Tea, cups and the tray are provided
Why it's called a set
At a fire event, a set is the five to ten minutes you're on. This is the set you don't spin. Fire closes the night; tea opens it. If you've only ever known me with a lit staff, this is the other half.
Questions people ask
Is this a meditation?
It's quieter than a workshop and louder than a meditation. We sit, we pour, we talk. Nobody has to say anything, and most people do.
How many people?
Priced per workshop for a standard group. Larger circles are fine — send the number and I'll scope the tea.
Can it pair with Fundamentals of Flow?
That's the day I'd design: Fundamentals in the afternoon, The Slow Set at golden hour.
What does it cost?
From $250 per workshop, South Florida included.
