Fire Flow Safety
Safety isn't a slide at the end. It's the first thing I teach and the thing I'm proudest of teaching. Fueling and perimeter come before your first wrap. Every time.
What we cover
- Fueling protocol — where, how, how much, and what never happens near the fuel
- The perimeter — how big, who sets it, who holds it, what breaks it
- The safety attendant — the person whose only job is you; what they watch, what they carry, when they step in
- Extinguishing — props, people, and the ground; the tools and the order
- Pre-burn — site inspection, wind, surfaces, clothing, hair, and the conversation with the venue
- Pack-out — the burn isn't over until the fuel is sealed and the ground is cold
Why I teach this
I'm a certified fire safety advocate and I've taught several fire flow safety courses. On my own bookings a trained fire-safety attendant is on every job. I teach it as its own course because the flow community is full of people who learned the moves before they learned the fuel, and the fuel is the part that can't be undone.
You don't need to be a performer to take it. If you spin at jams, hold safety for friends, or run a fire circle at your event, this is for you.

Does this certify me?
It teaches you how to fuel, perimeter, attend and extinguish properly. It doesn't issue a credential. Ask me about who certifies in your area.
Can you run this before our festival's fire circle?
That's the ideal placement. An hour before the first burn, everyone who'll be near the fuel is in the room.
Is there live fire in the course?
Only where the venue allows and the perimeter is set. The protocol is taught dry first.
What does it cost?
From $250 per workshop, South Florida included.
